New ConnectIT 365 Version 27.0.6.0

In this release, the main focus is on upgrading the ConnectIT 365 API to .NET 8. In addition, a new FTP module has been introduced, offering more options for secure connections.

The API handles all message communication between ConnectIT 365 in Business Central and third-party systems. Upgrading to .NET 8 provides a more stable, secure and future-proof integration experience.

A setting is available to switch to the .NET 8 API. Although the .NET 5 API is still supported, we strongly recommend upgrading to .NET 8.

If you are using a self-hosted API, please ensure it is updated to the latest version. Additional guidance is available on our support site.

Steps to Change the Settings

Step 1

Install the update in a sandbox environment first.

Ensure the sandbox is up to date with the production definitions and data.

Step 2

Check in the setup whether a self-hosted API is configured.

If so, follow the instructions on our support page.

Step 3

Go to General Settings and change the ConnectIT API to .NET 8.

Step 4

Test all connections carefully.

We recommend using defined test scenarios and example files from production to validate imports and exports.

If external systems connect to ConnectIT via a REST endpoint, the URL must be updated to the new .NET 8 endpoint.

The correct URL can be found on the Definition Card and on the support website.

Step 5

If everything works as expected, update the app in production and switch the API setting to .NET 8.

Step 6

If you are a partner, please inform your customers about this change.
